- Retention
- Account and saved settings are kept until account deletion. Consent records are kept until the account is deleted. Retention for operational account-deletion records (accountDeletions) is not yet finalized in operating policy. Visit analytics cookies are kept for up to 180 days. Browser-stored items remain on your device until you delete them. Retention for email inquiries follows operating policy (not yet finalized); deletion can be requested by email. When a legal retention obligation applies, only the information required for that period is kept separately.
1. Data controller and contact
The data controller is the Hatdool operator. Requests for access, correction, deletion, processing restriction, account withdrawal, and other privacy inquiries may be sent to toolboard.help@gmail.com.
2. Information collected and how it is collected
When you use email or Google login, we process your email address, Firebase user identifier (UID), login provider information, and consent records. Firebase Authentication processes authentication data; the Hatdool operator does not view or store plaintext passwords. Calculator input values are stored in Cloud Firestore only when you explicitly choose to save settings, together with preset names and calculation currency where applicable. Inquiries are currently received at the operator email (toolboard.help@gmail.com); message content and contact details needed to reply are processed for inquiry handling. Direct server intake via a Hatdool site form, ticket numbers, and in-site inquiry storage are not offered on the site at this time (related server code may remain disabled). Favorites, recently used tools, recent calculator inputs, calculation currency, display language (manual and automatic), and visit analytics preference are kept only in your browser storage for convenience and are not sent to Hatdool Firestore or other operator account storage. On a first visit to home (/), to choose display language automatically the browser may request Cloudflare’s public trace endpoint (cdn-cgi/trace) and use only the country code (loc) in the response. Hatdool app code does not store IP addresses or the full trace text in its own databases; the resulting display-language preference is recorded only in browser storage. Processing on Cloudflare’s side follows Cloudflare’s notices. For service security and error response, IP address, browser and device information, and access logs may be processed in Google Firebase services.
3. Purposes of use
Collected information is used for login and member identification, account security, saving, loading, and deleting calculator settings, managing terms consent status, responding to inquiries, and display language selection and first-visit routing. Recent input auto-restore, favorites, recent-use features, currency, and analytics preference are handled only in the browser and are not included in account storage or visit analytics events Hatdool sends.
4. Retention period and deletion
Account information, consent records, and saved calculator settings are deleted from the Firestore user document and subcollections and from Firebase Authentication when you delete your account. An operational record (accountDeletions) with deletion time and purge flags may remain in Firestore; it does not include email, consent text, or calculator inputs. Saved settings can be deleted individually from each calculator’s saved list, and account withdrawal can be requested from the saved-settings screen. Browser-stored inputs, currency, language, and analytics choice can be cleared via calculator reset, visit analytics settings, or clearing site data in the browser. Retention for email inquiries is not yet finalized in operating policy; deletion can be requested by email. When re-authentication is required or the screen cannot handle a request, you may contact the address above. When a legal retention obligation applies, only the information needed for that purpose and period is kept separately and then deleted.
5. Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is loaded only when you allow visit analytics. Page paths and titles, referrer origin on visits from external sites (excluding path, query, and hash), browser and device information, and Analytics identifiers and cookies may be used to analyze service usage. Calculator inputs, query strings and hashes in page or referrer URLs, and account information are not included in analytics events Hatdool sends. Advertising storage and ad personalization signals are not used; analytics cookie lifetime is up to 180 days. Refusing analytics does not block calculator use; you can stop further collection in visit analytics settings at the bottom of the site.
6. Use of Google services and overseas processing
Hatdool uses Google LLC’s Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Hosting, Cloud Functions, and Google Analytics. Information may be processed on Google’s service infrastructure for service delivery, security, incident response, and analytics. Firebase Authentication data is processed in the United States. Email inquiries may be processed in the mail service the operator uses; each service’s privacy and security notices apply. Processing locations and safeguards for other Firebase, Functions, and Analytics services follow each service’s documentation.
7. When advertising is displayed
If Google AdSense advertising begins, Google and ad partners may store or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, or device identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, abuse prevention, and measurement. When advertising actually starts, we will add any required consent management and choices on screen and update this policy to match operating status.
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and withdrawal of consent regarding your personal information. Use account or saved-setting deletion features or send a request to the inquiry email. We may verify account ownership for requests that require it.
9. Policy changes
When the information we process or external services change, we update this policy’s content and effective date and publish it on the site. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in an easy-to-notice way before it applies.
